440hz.app

440hz.app is a growing collection of small tools for musicians and music lovers. Everything runs in your browser, works offline, and has no ads, no tracking, and no accounts.

The tools so far

  • Tuner: a chromatic tuner for guitar, bass, ukulele, and violin, with real-time pitch detection and multiple tunings.
  • Metronome: tap tempo, subdivisions, time signatures, and keyboard shortcuts.
  • Chords: build chord progressions with a bit of music theory guidance: pick a key, get suggestions for what comes next, and hear every chord.
  • Practice: a chord drill that listens through your mic, shows a target chord, and tells you when you nail it.
  • Changes: practice chord changes with random looping progressions and an adjustable tempo.
  • Sing: vocal pitch training: hear a note, sing it back, with progressive exercises for every voice type.
  • Blind test (flactest): open a lossless file, transcode it to several MP3 bitrates, and find out whether you can actually hear the difference.
  • Split: split CUE+FLAC albums into individual tracks and re-encode them.
  • Convert: batch convert audio between FLAC, WAV, and MP3.

The audio tools (splitting, converting, transcoding) all run locally in the browser, so your files never leave your device. Each tool also installs as its own PWA if you want it on your home screen.

Try it at 440hz.app. It is free and I keep adding to it, so suggestions are welcome.
